End of the first part of our cruise

The last few days of the cruise were spent doing jobs on the boat generally relaxing. The work on the boat extension continues. Although we've altered the design a little and this means we've to order more zips (now 32 in total) and so will end up leaving the boat before its finished.

Carole went foraging on the beach for coquinas - small cockles - she got enough for a pork and cockle stew - a local classic.
After a cloudy few days, summer arrived and the weather became settled and warm. Cloudless days and evenings warm enough to sit out in wearing just a T-shirt. We went walking in the countryside outside of Ayamonte to a property that a friend is thinking of buying. The wild flowers were stunning.

We've now had to pack the boat up and head off home - both got work (what is that dirty word!)to go to. But we're back in May to sail the boat to Portimao - probably, boats and plans are not a good mix. There we'll lift the boat out of the water and do some maintenance and let the boat have a good dry out before we start on the next stage of our cruise later in the year. Next updates should be at the beginning of May.
