After coming back from the boat the weather was pretty good for most of the summer which let us play in the wonderful Lake District. What a place to be lucky enough to live! But first gardening!
We took the Campervan to Kirby Steven on route to Durham and had a mini break there, the site is next to the river.....
It might have been July but the water felt (to me) like January!
Stacey's pizza nights continued - top pizzas.
We had some lovely walks in the fells, Carole taking her swimming gear whenever a suitable pool of water looked available
Holme Fell
Hodge Close Quarry, no swimming here but a good scramble down to the flooded quarry through the old mine workings and a short tunnel.
At the van after a swim and sailing session at Fell Foot.
Testing the new outboard on the big safety boat at Arnside - a great day out in reality!
Very blustery sail with Carole, I did manage to dump her in the water shortly after this photo!!
Jen brought Quincey up to stop with us a a while, we went for a walk up Chapel House Fell, Jen still working on emails despite being day off!
Quincey enjoying the walk.
I took Quincey on a Boys Walk up Pavey Ark and Harrison Stickle
As you can see the views made the climb worthwhile! And this was early September.
On the way down. Finally got below the cloud! Quincey didn't mind though
